Edward James Kopp was born March 28, 1949 in Chicago to Charles J. and Ann (nee Mandik) Kopp. He died July 31, 2017.
Ed was a graduate of St. Benedict Grade and High school. It was at St. Benedict’s that he made many friends and many fond memories. He served his country during the Vietnam War in Ft. Benning Georgia where he played trumpet in the marching band. Ed had many hobbies, he enjoyed cooking for his family and was training to be a licensed drone pilot. He used his drone flying skills as an estimator for Serv Pro, where he worked in Evergreen Park, which he enjoyed for the last year and a half.
Ed is survived by his wife Carol (nee Martorelli) Kopp; his children Kimberly Morrissey and Brian Kopp; his grandchildren Edward and T.J. Morrissey; his nieces and nephews Lisa Kopp, Joanna and Frank Martorelli, Alan Swanson III, Antonia and Alexandra Martorelli. Ed is preceded in death by his brother Charles Kopp and by his parents.
Visitation Friday, Aug 4, 2017 from 3:00 PM until the time of memorial service at 8:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Hts Rd, Arlington Hts, IL. Interment private.
