Edward John McGinn Of Arlington Heights, formerly of ChicagoEdward John McGinn was born on October 20, 1959 in Chicago to John and Louise (nee Von Kline) McGinn. He died peacefully Sunday, November 15, 2015 in Arlington Heights.Ed worked as a Salesman for United Displaycraft in Des Plaines. He attended St. Patrick High School in Chicago, the University of Illinois in Champaign where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design and was a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. Ed was also member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights. He loved to travel, spend time with his family and was loved by all. Ed is survived by his wife of 25 years, Marianne (nee Hey), whom he married September 2, 1990 in Deerfield; daughters, Emma McGinn and Annie McGinn; Father, John Joseph McGinn, III; siblings, Paul (Tara) Heiselmann, Kimberly McGinn, John McGinn, IV, Mary (John) Joyce, Patrick (Donna) McGinn, Sr., and Paul (Mary) McGinn; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother. Memorial Visitation Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Memorial Service 10:30 am, Friday, November 20, 2015 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1234 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment is private.
