Francis A. Kunz Sr. was born December 31, 1928 in Chicago to Albert Joseph Sr. and Ruth Marie (nee Bouland) Kunz. He died May 4, 2017 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
Francis retired from AT&T as a Communications Engineer after 35 years.
Francis is survived by his children Mary (late Alex) Chionis, Ruth (Charles) Zirfas, Susan (Zeke) Rodriguez, Sharon (Bob) Swiatek, Francis Kunz Jr., Joseph Kunz and Nancy Gearhart; his 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
Francis is preceded in death by his wife Gertrude E. (nee Schallmo) Kunz; his daughter Deborah Kunz; his great granddaughter Alexandra Skubak; his siblings and by his parents.
Visitation Monday, May 8, 2017 from 4 PM until the time of funeral service at 7 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment private.
