"Fritz" Steinbach was born on April 28, 1943 in Hartford, Wisconsin to Lothar and Eleanora (nee Luck) Steinbach. He died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.Mr. Steinbach worked for Diebold Inc. for over 40 years and was a service manager at the time of his retirement. He served in the Navy for eight years and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. A family man who loved attending all his grandchildren"s activities, Fritz and his wife, Marlene, were snow birds who enjoyed their Florida condo for five years. He was a voracious reader, liked camping and swimming and was an avid Packer fan.Fritz is survived by Marlene; his son, Michael F. (Jeannie) Steinbach, and his daughter, Stacy L. (John) Buckner; and his grandsons Nicholas J. and Joseph M. Buckner, and Jacob M. Steinbach; his brother, Walden (Darlene) Steinbach; his niece, Senja (Damon) Estes and his nephew, Jon Steinbach.He was preceded in death by his parents.Memorial Service 1:00 pm, Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois.
