Of Arlington Heights
Gean Frase, the most wonderful mother on the planet passed away February 22nd and joined the love of her life Robert. She passed in her home where she raised her 8 children, Mike (Ginny), Mark (Pam), Marty, Bruce, Melody Rzewnicki (Ron), Brett, Dan (Anita) and Kris Moody (Mark). She was surrounded by family and many stories of a life spent taking care of others. She wore many hats. No basket was safe to be turned into a wild hat when she was together with her fun, life loving sisters. Daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandma, great grandma and a true friend to so many.
Gean was born in 1925 to Walter Lindsay and Ruth Davis Lindsay. She grew up spending much time at the WMAQ radio station where she lived with her family. Gean completed nurses training at West Suburban Hospital but her strong desire to raise a family brought her home where she was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one on the way who never failed to brighten her face with a smile. Gean and Bob lived in Arlington Heights for 58 years where they enjoyed watching their children participate in sports at both Arlington and Hersey. Not only was her door always open to her children when they needed it, but also to the many friends of her son Marty that so often stopped to share a cup of coffee at her warm table.
Gean was preceded in death by her sisters, Marilyn, Rosemary and Sandy, father, Walter Davis, mother, Ruth Lindsay Davis, grandchildren Ronnie Ray, Joey and Ayla Jane. Gean is survived by her sister Donna Blake of New Mexico and her brother William Lindsay of Naples, FL.
Gean's life will be celebrated on Sunday March 4th from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at her home in Arlington Heights.
