Genevieve Lorraine Holznagel

Genevieve L. Holznagel was born on April 24, 1933 in Chicago to Harry and Catherine (nee Schreiner) Holznagel. She died Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in Arlington Heights.

She worked as a Branch Manager for Met Life in Northwest Suburbs. Genevieve loved gambling, playing bingo, bowling and traveling. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, and was loved by all.

Genevieve is survived by her brothers, Ronald Holznagel and Harold Holznagel, and sister, Shirley Whitecliff; nieces and nephews, Virginia Schoene, Carole Schoene, Kathleen Schoene, Russell Schoene, Sharal Whitecliff, Jackie Whitecliff, Tammy Whitecliff, Curtis Whitecliff, Craig Whitecliff, Julene Zander, James (Sue) Holznagel, Jeffrey (Paula) Holznagel and Jon (Lisa) Holznagel; and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Harriet Schoene and Gerald Holznagel; sisters-in-law, Judi Holznagel, and Patricia Holznagel; brothers-in-law, Robert Schoene and Robert Whitecliff; and nephew Sonny Zander.

Visitation Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 9:00 am until the 11:00 am Funeral Service at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment will be at Randhill Park Cemetery in Arlington Heights.
