Gerald P. "Jerry" McGill Sr.

Jerry was a proud Korean War veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Arlington Heights American Legion Post 208, Elk Grove VFW, the Knights of Columbus Holy Rosary Council 4483 and the Pipefitters Union Local 597.

Jerry was the beloved husband of Joanne (Scholtus) McGill for 64 years; loving father of Gerald P. “Jerry” (Jacalyn) McGill Jr., James (Patricia) McGill, Kathleen McGill and Karen (Timothy) O’Connell; cherished grandfather of Melissa (Peter) Spagnoli, Kimberly (Jacob) Symmonds, Nicole (Matthew) Kahle, James McGill, Rea McGill, Alexandra (Kevin) Barone, Lillian O’Connell and Ryan O’Connell; great-grandfather of Addison, Emily, Madelynn, Caitlin, Chase, Leanne and Kamryn and dear brother of Phillip (Susan) McGill, Lynnette McGill. Preceded in death by Fred (late Eileen) McGill, Jack (late Evelyn) McGill, Lenore McGill and Tom (Nancy) McGill. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 4-8 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights and Friday, September 16 at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell Avenue, Arlington Heights from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
