Geraldine "Gerri" DashGeraldine "Gerri" Dash was born on January 12, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Steve and Eva (nee Merkle) Nemeth. She passed peacefully on August 17, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones.Gerri was an incredible person and she devoted her life to family and friends. She was kind, caring, thoughtful and lived life to the fullest each and every day.Gerri is survived by her husband, Karl A. Dash; her daughter, Karla K. (Troy) Hintze, her son, Jeff (Danielle) Dash; her grandchildren Sammi Hintze, Nathan and Nicole Dash; her sisters Sharon (Jim) Polous, and Terri Fowler; and her brother-in-law Lud E. (Diane) Dash.A memorial mass honoring Gerri will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. After mass family and friends will gather at The Cotillion Banquets, 360 S. Creekside Drive, Palatine, to continue the celebration of life and share memories. Please refrain from wearing traditional funeral attire (no black) as that was Gerri"s wish.In lieu of flowers we strongly suggest donations to the Advocate Charitable Foundation - Ovarian Cancer Department.
