Gregory George Grana

Of Arlington Heights

Gregory G. “Buddy” Grana Sr., 82, was born on August 4, 1934 in Chicago. He passed away peacefully Monday, June 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

Greg was the founder of Grand Forms and Systems and led the company for 50 years. He was also a charter member of the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights Sunrise, St. George High School Alumni Assn. and the Italian American Club. Greg’s passions were his family and his love of sports.

Greg was married to his sweetheart, the late Rita (nee Baumann), for 60 years. He was the loving father to Gary (Carrie), Glenn (Kerry), Mary Lynne (Robert) Gaedele, and Greg Jr. (Julie); cherished Papa of Michelle (Ethan) Netterstrom, Matthew (Christina), Jeffrey (Katie), Daniel, Shelby (Fiancé Douglas), Ryan (Fiancée Christine) Gaedele, Kyle Gaedele, Tyler Gaedele, Gregory, Mary Grace, AJ, and Aubrey; and his 7 great grandchildren Logan, Molly and Gary Netterstrom, Claire, Abigail, Ella, and Madelyn Grana. He was the respected brother to Hank (Cherri), Frank (Barbara), Marie (the late Gary) Czapinski, and Tom (Jan); along with being a fond uncle, cousin, and friend of many.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents Frank and Caroline (nee Bruno) Grana, in-laws George and Lucille Baumann and sister-in-law Joan Mullally.

Memorial Mass 11:00 am, Monday, June 12, 2017 at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights, Illinois, 60005. Committal of cremated remains 1:00 pm, graveside, All Saints Cemetery East Side, 700 N. River Road, Des Plaines, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Our Lady of the Wayside Church.
