

James (Jim) E. Clark, 95 of Arlington Heights was born in Chicago, IL on September 15, 1930 to the late James and Francis (nee Hart) Clark, and passed away on December 9, 2025 in Arlington Heights, IL.
Jim was the beloved husband of Deborah (nee Stern) Clark; loving father of Cynthia (Steve) Ogan, Virginia Peterson, and Carole (David) Smith, as well as dear stepfather to Lisa Lille, David Lille, and Jeffrey (Wendy Wong) Lille. He was a cherished grandfather of Luke (Anna) Ogan, Abigail (Thorn) Jones, Leah (Brendan) Filardo, Ian Peterson (& fiancé Barbara Burke), Jesse (James) Schwartz, Samuel (Katie Osberg-Smith) Smith, Benjamin (Courtney Brown) Smith, as well as to his step-grandchildren Vanessa Mensie, Alyssa Mensie, Caleb Lille and Ethan Lille. He delighted in his two great-grandchildren Sadie Schwartz and Sonia Schwartz; dear brother to the late Donald Clark and uncle to Cathy Busse and Patrick Clark.
Jim had a B.A. in Accounting from DePaul University and served stateside in the army during the Korean War, eventually becoming the Comptroller for United Way of Metro Chicago for 35 years until his retirement. He also had a busy CPA practice. Jim enjoyed many pursuits throughout the years, including 16” softball, tennis, and was a fervent member for 25 years of the Wellness Center, enjoying work outs and spin classes until just short of his 90th year. Fellow (younger) members always marveled at his youthful exuberance (which he loved, of course!) His greatest love was his devoted and supportive wife, Deborah, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 2:00pm – 7:00pm, a remembrance service interval will begin at 4:00pm on the same day, with a musical arrangement at 5:30pm. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date.
