He died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Friendship Village, Schaumburg, Illinois.Mr. Egan was a restaurant manager for over 40 years before retiring. He was a 1st Lt. in the Army Transport Division during the Korean War. James enjoyed painting, gardening and spending time with grandchildrenHe is survived by his children Dr. Lynn (Paul Fishman) Egan, Maurine (Charles) Carncross, Susan (Randi) Wille, Philip James (Kara) Egan and Timothy Patrick (Rachel) Egan; his twelve grandchildren, Joshua, Katherine, Megan, Casey, Nate, Katherine, Rachael, Renae, Jackson, Ian, Noah and Jillian; his great grandson, Lincoln; his sister, Patricia Day and his brother, William (Sally) Egan.He was preceded in death by his wife, Roslyn Joan Egan; his parents; and his brother-in-law Robert Day.Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Prayers 8:45 am, Monday, November 7, 2016 at the Funeral Home, proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S.
