James G. Eggert was born on October 20, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois to Arthur Eggert and Patricia (nee Billington) Eggert Kirkwood. He died Sunday, December 10, 2017, at his home in Mt. Prospect.

Mr. Eggert was a service and installation technician for D & K Group Inc. He was a member of Lauderdale Lakes Yacht Club, the Lauderdale Lakes Improvement Association, and the Des Plaines Elks Club.

James is survived by his wife, Margaret E. "Peg" (nee Thelander) Eggert; his son, Jason (Alicia) Eggert; his grandson, Jason James Eggert; his siblings, Arthur (Ysabel) Eggert, Jr., Thomas (Mary) Eggert, Leanne (Scott) Carlson, Richard (Kathryn) Eggert, Charles (Pam) Eggert, and Robert (Lisa) Eggert; and his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Prayers 9:15 am, Monday, December 18, 2017, at the Funeral Home, proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois for Mass at 10:00 am. Interment private.
