James Joseph Hill, Esq.

Of Arlington Heights

James Joseph Hill Esq. was born on January 21, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Anne (nee Grady) Hill. He died Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Emerald Place in Glenview, Illinois.

Before retiring Mr. Hill was a patent attorney for many years and was with Emrich & Dithmar. He was a proud product of Jesuit education having graduated from St. Ignatius High School then college and graduate degrees from John Carroll, and Marquette Universities, the University of Pennsylvania, where he obtained a master’s in engineering and DePaul University where he achieved a Juris Doctorate degree.

James is survived by his June D. Hill (nee Wesol); his sons, Dr. James (Cathy) Hill, Martin J. (Christie) Hill, and Terrence M. (Katie) Hill; his grandchildren, Collin, Garrett, Makenna, Laura,, Ryan, John, and Kevin; and his brothers, Tom (Patricia) Hill and Ray (Patricia) Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Robert (Lynn) and John (Sarah) Hill; and his cousin Joanne Hill Kelly.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Prayers 9:15 am, Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Funeral Home, proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois for Mass at 10:00 am. Interment private.
