Jerome J. Pisarek, known affectionately as Jerry to his friends and family, left this world on August 29, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on March 24, 1964, in the city of Chicago, IL. Jerry was the cherished son of the late Edward Sr. and Loretta Pisarek. His life was a testament to the love and values they instilled in him.
Jerry was a loving husband of 31 years to his wife, Cathy Pisarek, with whom he shared a life full of laughter and devotion. Together, they raised two children, Zachery and Nicole Pisarek, who remember their father as a pillar of strength and love. He was dedicated to providing a supportive environment to his wife and children to instill the value of family. Every decision he made was centered around the most important people in his life making sure they would never miss an opportunity. Jerry's role as a family man extended to his siblings, Edward Pisarek and Laura (Joe) Maggio. His nieces, Cassandra and Mariette, will fondly remember their uncle.
Professionally, Jerry was a highly skilled tool and die mold maker, a journeyman whose precision and craftsmanship were unparalleled. He spent decades constructing tools, dies, and molds that shaped the manufacturing industry, working with materials like metal, plastic, and composites. His dedication to his craft was evident in the quality of his work and the respect he earned from his peers.
Jerry was an avid fisherman, finding solace and joy in the hours spent by the water. It was a hobby that brought him peace and a sense of connection to nature. When he was not by the water you could surely find him on his recliner with Max yelling at the TV supporting his favorite Chicago sports teams, especially the Sox! Although, his favorite pastime was going to watch his sons football and baseball game or a good wrestling match. Then of course there were his daughters' recitals and Poms competitions.
In every aspect of his life, Jerry was a man who gave his all. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his influence will continue to resonate in the stories shared and the lives he shaped.
Jerome Pisarek will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we say goodbye to Jerry, we hold onto the warmth of his memory, the echo of his laughter, and the undeniable mark he made on the world. His life was a journey of love, craftsmanship, and joy, and though he has set sail on his final fishing trip, the fish tales and the love he shared will forever ripple through the lives of his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jerry’s honor can be made to St. Jude's or The American Cancer Society.
A memorial visitation for Jerry will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004.
