JoAnne Glynn (nee Leibach), 85, of Arlington Hts., Loving wife of 61 years to the late George Glynn; loved mother to Julia (Greg) Smolucha, George Glynn, Jr., Susan (Matt) Klarner, Ellen (Tom) Vann, Mary Jo (Barry) Kreuzer, and Patricia (Brian) Malinowski; beloved grandmother to Joseph, Gregory, George, Estelle and Anna Smolucha, Ty and Ryan Klarner, Charlie, Nicholas and Megan Kreuzer, Christina and Katharine Vann, Guy and Allison Malinowski; cherished great-grandmother to Evelyn Smolucha; fond Daughter to the late Edward and Evelyn Leibach; Loving sister of the late Richard Leibach, the late Kenneth Leibach, and and the late Mary Ceil Malecki (nee Leibach)and dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.
JoAnne worked at Marshall Fields for many years, after working as a co-owner at The Surrey Group for 25 years. Her passions were her family, friends, the Cubs (she was always enthusiastically yelling at the TV during the game), and golf. She and George enjoyed spending their winters in Florida for over 30 years. In addition, she was an avid gardener and had been known to talk to her flowers.
Visitation Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell St., Arlington Hts., IL 60005, from 10 am until the time of Mass at 11am. Interment is private.
