John R. Costa

Of Arlington Heights

John R. Costa was born on March 23, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Josephine (nee Maita) Costa. He died Friday, January 25, 2019 at Edward Heart Hospital in Naperville, Illinois.

John is survived by his wife, Carole Costa (nee Egan); his daughter Kelly (Larry) Mongoven and son John Costa; his grandchildren Nicholas, Michael, and Mark Mongoven; his siblings Frank (Jeanne) Costa, Rosalie (Late Felix) DeVivo and Mary (Sia) Zandpour; loving son-in-law to Stella Egan; and brother-in-law to Barbara (Thom) Wollard and Ray Egan; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his siblings, Frances (George) Gullo, Sam Costa, and Josephine Costa; and his brother-in-law, Michael (Irene) Egan.

Visitation Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service that will take place at 5:30 pm. Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd. is located at 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights, IL 60004.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to The American Heart Association.
