John was born in Chicago on September 4, 1941, to parents Edward Eugene and Lorraine Mary (nee Tolemy) Fejedelem. John was a skilled tool and die maker, and owned Papan Tool and Die for several years. He continued his skills at two other companies before he retired in 2014.
While seeing the band Chicago perform at a local sports bar, he met Madge Powers and the couple fell in love. They were married on September 4, 1971, his 30th birthday.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Madge Fejedelem, his children, Neal (Jenna) Fejedelem, Sr., and Crissy (Chris) Dwyer, his grandchildren, Anthony Guerrero, Ayden Dwyer, Tristan Dwyer, Neal Fejedelem, Jr., Christopher Dwyer, Mackenzie Dwyer, and Isabella Dwyer, his siblings, Ed (Linda) Fejedelem, Shirley (Craig) Maxwell, and Gerald Fejedelem, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry Fejedelem and Andrew Fejedelem.
