John Mueller

1935-2025

Mr. John Mueller, 89, of Arlington Heights, passed away Friday, July 4, 2025, after a long battle with Parkinson’s, at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights. Born in Filipowa, Yugoslavia, on Sep 5, 1935, he was the son of the late Andreas and Eva (Pertschy) Mueller. On Nov 3, 1962, he married Inge Leibfried, his beloved wife, who survives him. John was a devoted member of St. James Catholic Church.

He is survived by his brothers, Michael and Helmut (Catherine); sons, Helmut (Julieta) and Richard (Lily); grandchildren, Nichole (Robert), Monica (Jack), Nicholas, Evan, and Johnny; great-granddaughter, Madison; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andreas and Eva, and brothers, Joseph (Anna) and Andrew.

Funeral services and visitation will be held Friday, July 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Glueckert Funeral Home in Arlington Heights. Interment will follow at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery in Palatine.
