He passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015 in Arlington Heights.John is survived by his wife of 31 years, Patricia (nee O'Laughlin); his children, John P. Powers, James E. Powers, Thomas M. (April) Powers, Susan M. Szczepaniak and Mary B. Jensen; his stepdaughter, Susan L. Haut; his 14 grandchildren; and his three great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel T. Powers (nee Dever); his son, Daniel M. Powers; his step-son, Daniel W. Haut, and his sisters, Kathleen Johnson, Marian Braithwaite, Henrietta Doetsch and Marcella Masterson.Visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Monday, February 9, 2015 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 am Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Funeral Home, proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N.
