Joseph B Heinz, Sr.

Joseph B. Heinz Sr. was born on October 27, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Edward and Adeline (nee Kelly) Heinz. He went to the Lord on December 26, 2022 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights surrounded by his loving children.

Joe was a member of St. James Catholic Church for 65 years and a daily communicant for many of those years.

Family and faith were of utmost importance to Joe. His love and dedication will be forever held in his children’s hearts.

Joseph is survived by his children Joseph (Kathleen) Heinz Jr., Jerry (JoAnne) Heinz, Mary (Rick) Daly, Suzanne Heinz and Katie Plunkett; his grandchildren Robert Heinz, Michael Heinz, Jennifer Heinz, Megan (Kaleb) Koenig, C.J. Heinz, Erin (Katherine) Daly, Joseph Daly, Brian Daly, Kevin Daly, Charlie (Megan) Plunkett, Grace Plunkett and Brigid Plunkett; his siblings Dorothy (Eugene) Broccolo, Patricia (late Edward) Brucker and Suzanne (late Jack) Ryan; he is also survived by 74 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his spouse of 50 years Joanne Heinz (nee Bergman); his parents as well as his siblings Edward (late Lorette) Heinz, Robert (late Mary) Heinz, Jack (late Gerry) Heinz. William (late Edna) Heinz, Thomas (late Lorraine) Heinz, James (late Patricia) Heinz, Marrianne (late Russ) Tomei and Adeline Heinz.

Visitation Friday, December 30, 2022 from 9:00am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. James Catholic Church 831 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Private Interment will take place at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to JourneyCare Hospice Foundation 2050 Claire Court, Glenview, IL 60025.
