Joseph E. Petrusek Sr. was born on July 11, 1941, in Chicago, to Julius and Anna (nee Gaspar) Petrusek. He passed peacefully Saturday, February 15, 2025 in Evanston, IL. Mr. Petrusek was an active member in the Northern Illinois Steam Power Club and worked 44 years at Illinois Tool Works.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents and his spouse of 48 years, Barbara Jean (nee Felczak) Petrusek; He is survived by his cherished sons, Joseph (Rita) Petrusek Jr., James (Margaret) Petrusek, and John (Christina) Petrusek; beloved grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Matthew, Makenna, Serafina, and Julius; great-grandchildren Emmett and August.
Visitation from 12 to 3 pm Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Hts. Rd., Arlington Heights.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
