He owned and operated Utopia Travel in Deerfield then later in Wheeling for 25 years. Koji was a sports enthusiast, especially golf. He was a member of the Lincolnshire Rotary Club. Koji enjoyed reading, socializing with family and friends, and lent a helping hand in the community when needed.
Koji is survived by his wife, Mayumi (nee Kishimoto); mother, Waisaeng Lim; sister Jennifer Chiyo (Isao) Tozuka; cousin, Ran Yi (Haejung Lee) Kim.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks South of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Funeral Service Friday, February 2, 2018 at 11:00 am, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie.
