Luciano "Lou" Geraldi was born on November 16, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Matteo and Laura (nee Miceli) Geraldi. He died Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Lou worked as a High School Principal for Chicago Public Schools at Tuley High School and Roberto Clemente High School. After retiring from CPS, Lou continued his love of education as principal at Holy Cross High School in River Grove.
He was a volunteer board member, coach and referee for the North Austin Boys Club with his Best Buddy, Bill DiCanio. Along with his parents, who were founding members, Lou became a member of the Burgio Society. His parents were so proud of their involvement with their Sicilian heritage.
His interests and hobbies included reading novels, watching the Cubs, Bears and anything that involved sports. He loved to power walk. His greatest enjoyment came from watching his grandchildren play sports, dance, fish, swim (close to shore) and just talk with them about what was important to them.
