Lydia Riske was born May 10, 1949 in Belgium to Mykola and Anna (nee Zawalij) Masyk. She died Thursday, June 6, 2018 in Arlington Heights.

Mrs. Riske dedicated her life to her family and grandkids. Lydia was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. She loved cooking, crafts, being at her Wisconsin house and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Lydia was deeply loved by all.

She is survived by her husband, of 47 years, Chester, whom she married on July 10, 1971 in Chicago; children, Chet (Kate) Riske, Lisa (Corey) Roberts and Christopher Riske; grandchildren, Drew and Morgan Riske, Logan and Lucas Roberts; siblings, Walter (Carol) Masyk, John (Chris) Masyk, Mary (John) Bakulski and Erika (Niles) McMaster; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Visitation 10:00 am, Friday, June 15, 2018 until the 11:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
