He died Sunday, June 12, 2016 in Arlington Heights.Matt served in the United States Air Force. He had a passion for life and was an independent soul. He was an avid golfer, skydiver, fisherman, and was fun to be around and had a big, compassionate heart. Matt loved to spend time with family, and especially, "The Love of his Life" Jomana and was loved by all.Matthew is survived by his parents, David and Patti (nee Mattes) Gutzmer, siblings, Laura (Steven) Naleck and Michael Gutzmer; grandparents, George (Pat) Mattes and Ardell (the late Vernon) Gutzmer; goddaughter and niece, Leah Naleck and nephew, Landon Naleck; and loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins.Visitation Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayer Service 10:00 am, Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the funeral home.
