Matthew David Silberman

Matthew David Silberman, 32, was born on November 18, 1990 in Baltimore, Maryland to Neal and Lauren (nee Weiner) Silberman. He died Monday, December 12, 2022.

During his short time on earth, Matthew touched many lives both near and far. His smile would light up any room, and he always used humor to lighten even the heaviest situation. Matt's love for music, fitness and a good conspiracy theory made conversations with him always enjoyable and entertaining.

Matthew was a beloved son, brother and father, who was very connected in the recovery community not only as a mentee, but a mentor to many struggling with addiction. In addition to the many lives he touched, Matthew was an avid dog lover and cared deeply for his five four pawed friends; Alex the Great, Coco, Mr. Moo, Stella, and Monty.

Matthew is survived by his son, Chase Anna; his mother, Lauren Weiner-Silberman; his brother, Jordan Silberman; his sister Francesca Casillis; his grandparents Ronni and Alan Maged; his great aunt and godmother, Judi Condon; his uncle and godfather, Bruce Weiner, his uncle Kenny Silberman; his cousin, Alex Silberman; and his soulmate Rachel Anna.

He is preceded in death by his father Neal Silberman.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of his funeral service at 3:00, Sunday, December 18, 2022, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois.
