Maureen Adele McGavock

She worked as an Occupational Therapist for Illinois Bone and Joint Institute and for Athletico, specializing in Hand Therapy and kinesio taping. She loved swimming laps at Lifetime Fitness and enjoyed her church families in Arlington Heights and in Chandler AZ. The joy of her life was time spent with her family in Illinois and in Arizona, especially her brand-new granddaughter, Grace. She was known for her smile, a twinkle in her eye, and her infectious laugh, which lit up every room.

Maureen is survived by her children, William (Molly) Galanis, and Christina Galanis; granddaughter, Grace Galanis; father, Daniel McGavock; siblings, Marcia (Kent) Hill and John McGavock; brother-in-law, Paul (Elizabeth) Galanis; a niece and 3 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother; Doreen, and her sister, Mary Kay McGavock.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, December 1, 2017 at Arlington Countryside Church, 916 East Hintz Road, Arlington Heights, IL  60004.  Internment is private.
