Michael J. Barrett

Michael J. Barrett was born on March 26, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois to Martin and Arlene (nee Wickman) Barrett. He died Saturday, February 23, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Barrett worked as a Police Officer for the Village of Mount Prospect for 21 years

He was a member of the NIPAS Mobile Field Force.

His interests and hobbies included fishing, boating, and radar detecting. He was an avid history buff, particularly in regards to WWII.

Michael is survived by his spouse, Donna Barrett (nee Coventry), his children Jesse Barrett and Julia (Jeremy) Webber; his mother Arlene Barrett; his sisters Maura (Chris Ott) Barrett and Margaret Barrett; and his faithful companion Nina, our Husky.

He was preceded in death by his father Martin Barrett.

Visitation Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (four blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment will be private.
