Nikolaus RossierOf Mount ProspectNikolaus Rossier was born on March 11, 1933 in Soltur, Banat, Yugoslavia, to Peter and Katharina (nee Graf) Rossier. He died Saturday, February 21, 2015 in Mt. Prospect.Nikolaus worked as a maintenance mechanic for Brach's Candy Company in Chicago. He was a member of the Society of Danube Swabians in Des Plaines. He was avid gardener and loved to "Tinker" around his children's and his home. Nikolaus loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was loved by all. Nikolaus is survived by his spouse Hildegard (nee Pillinger) whom he married August 21, 1954 in Vienna, Austria; daughters, Monika (Keith) Kinslow and Angela (Robert) Ramirez, grandchildren, Sara (Danny) Lawson, Steven (Rachel) Ramirez, James Ramirez, Adam Kinslow, Erik Kinslow, Kurt Kinslow; great- grandchildren, William Lawson and Violet Lawson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Martin Rossier. Visitation Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 3:00 pm until the 7:00 pm Prayer Service at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights.
