Pauline was born in Chicago in 1945 and grew up in the city. She was an only child, but her home was full of love. As a child, Pauline was a survivor of the Our Lady of the Angels School fire that occurred on December 1,1958.
Pauline and Roger were married on June 4, 1966.
Soon they had two boys and the family moved to California and then to Albuquerque before settling back in the Chicago area.
She had several jobs early on but eventually found her fit at Field Container where she worked for over 40 years.
Pauline’s focus was always her family – From being a Cub Scout Den mom, to going to all her boys’ games, to always providing a home cooked meal. She was the rock we could rely on.
Pauline had an amazing spirit, a heart of gold, and a kind word for everyone she met.
If you knew Pauline, you knew she was an amazing cook and baker. Nobody ever left the house hungry. She popularized the “Christmas Tree Cake” and the “Bunny Cake” along with a great number of other items.
She enjoyed traveling – Especially trips to Las Vegas to play slots, Arizona to see her dear friend Carol, and Sicily to enjoy sites and food of her mother’s birthplace.
Most of all Pauline enjoyed being a grandma to Nicole & Lauren, a mother, an Auntie, and a friend.
She was funny, smart, generous, supportive, caring and a woman of great faith.
Pauline will be missed by many.
Pauline is survived by her children, Paul (Kerry) MacLennan and Tony (Mary) MacLennan; granddaughters, Nicole and Lauren MacLennan; nephew, Tom and Joe Berg; niece, Karen Berg-Helfgot; great nieces and nephews, Jim, Chris, Carson, Gavin, and Salli; and cousin, Rose Marie Berg.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger MacLennan; and her parents.
