Peter Paul Odon was born August 1, 1954 in Chicago, IL and died April 8, 2022 at home surrounded by family in Arlington Heights, IL. Peter is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Sylvia F. (nee Raczka) Odon.

Peter is survived by his wife Nancy (nee Jennings) Odon; his children Tom (Amanda), Katie and Stephen Odon; his granddaughter Eleanor; and his siblings Therese (Thomas) Jezuit, Ann (Joseph) Rinchiuso and Marie Odon.

He attended Bradley University and then obtained his master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Peter was an accomplished writer and executive producer in broadcasting for nearly 40 years in the Chicago area. He was actively involved in his community; volunteering at Northwest Community Hospital, and faithfully serving as a lector, Eucharistic minister, and member of the Christian Family Movement group at Our Lady of the Wayside Church in Arlington Heights, IL.

He was a lover of all Chicago sports, but enjoyed supporting his own children's endeavors even more. As hard as he worked, he always found time for every soccer game, track meet, speech tournament and musical performance.

Peter enjoyed traveling to different events and landmarks. He attended a Final Four tournament, numerous Notre Dame football games, a Rose Bowl game, the Kentucky Derby with his children, and spent a month traveling around Europe with his wife in addition to many other family trips.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, and Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell Ave., Arlington Heights, from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to CurePSP, 1216 Broadway, 2nd floor, New York, New York, 10001.
