

Philip V. "Flip" Walters Of Arlington HeightsPhilip V. "Flip" Walters was born on July 19, 1932 in Grand Island, NE to Verne and Irma (nee Reese) Walters. He died Monday, April 11, 2016 in Arlington Heights.Philip worked as a Vice-President of Sales for DR Horton Cambridge Homes. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. Philip was a graduate of the University of Kentucky where he earned a BS degree and was also a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He served this great Nation with distinction and was honorably discharged from the United States Air force as a Captain in September of 1969." Philip was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Elks. His hobby and relaxing passion in life was fishing, mostly for northern pike, walleye and most important -- the allusive Muskellunge. He will be terribly missed by the ones who loved him and knew him best.Philip is survived by his children, Theresa Walters, David Walters, Robert (Julie) Walters, Kim Walters and Sharri (Kevin Bullock) Walters; grandchildren, Nicole Bartusch," Patrick Bartusch," Ashley Walters, David G. Walters and" Marshall Walters; great-grandson, Gage Bartusch.He was preceded in death by his wife Sondra; and his parents.Visitation Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N.
