I just found out Rick passed away. I am very shocked. I worked with him back in the 1990s and he was a wonderful friend and man. Rest in peace.

I had the privilege of meeting and working with Rick (and his brother) at JBA in the 90's.  He always made sure I was looked out for.  He taught me some very important life lessons.  I can still see him dancing around at my wedding.  My family's thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends.

Will miss you Rick...great co-worker and friend. I'll be looking for your advice at the auto auction next month! Will miss your great stories. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. May your memories bring you comfort.  Rick was not only a great co-worker at QAD but a better friend.  We shared some great trips and memories over the last few years from machine guns in Las Vegas to Tennessee whiskey in Santa Barbara to the shooting range in Lisle.  I will miss our talks whether it was on hunting, sports, family, shooting, politics or cars.  He was a great guy who loved life and his family.  I am glad I had the privilege of knowing him – he will be truly missed but never forgotten.

Rick and I did a lot of deals in his early days at QAD. All around - great guy!  I was very shocked to hear of his passing.  You will be greatly missed Rick - may you rest in peace!

I have worked with Rick for many years at QAD.  Rick was hard working, dedicated and extremely knowledgeable in his job but that isn't what I will miss the most. Rick was always quick with the wit and a joke and always fun to be around. Every time I hear a TLA or suffer from CRS I will smile and think of Rick fondly.  In typical QAD fashion QFarewell my friend, save me a seat in the back.

Rick was such a wonderful person. He will surely be missed at QAD.  Everyone always enjoyed being with Rick.  He always made me smile every time I saw him.  RIP, Rick.  We will miss you.

I still cannot believe that Rick is gone.  I had spoken with him a few days earlier, and was working with him on a number of things when I heard of his passing.  

Rick was a good man, and good worker, and a great friend.  I will truly miss him.

Rick was always one for a great joke or story.  The story I will never forget, whether it is true or not, is about replacing rugs.  Before he left for a business trip, the installer asked what he wanted done with the old rugs.  Rick said to put them in the garage.  Upon his return, instead of finding the rugs rolled up in his garage, they were installed in his garage.  Still get a chuckle everytime I think of him telling that story and enjoyed every time he told that story.

My husband and I both worked with Rick back in the JBA days. Always a pleasure. Lots of love for his family and friends. You will be missed Rick! Our deepest sympathy to everyone. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I knew Rick through Kristen Carpenter (I am her mother). He has to be one of the kindest people I know.  I was truly shocked to hear of his passing. You only had to meet him once to remember him forever.

I had the good fortune to work with rick for a few years in Chicago in the early 1990's. He was always larger than life, had a zest for life, love for family and friends and always knew how to do the right thing. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be sorely missed but I hope the next chapter will be full of fun and freedom.

My sincere condolences to Rick's family and loved ones. Rick and I were co-workers and became good friends in the early 70s. He taught me (and beat me consistently) at the game of RISK and was always quicker than lightning with one-liners and comebacks to anything we could throw at him. I have great memories of those days because of Rick. Though we hadn't connected for years, I was saddened to learn of his passing.
