Robert Garcia

Of Wheeling

Robert Garcia was born December 15, 1953 in Chicago to Adolfo and Rose (Lamita) Garcia. He passed away December 1, 2023 at his home in Wheeling.

He owned a TV repair shop in Bridgeport and transitioned to being an engineering manager for 30 years at Underwriters Laboratories in Northbrook. Robert was a member of St. Edna Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. Some things he loved were to cook, fish, listen to music, engage in technology, funny movies, and family gatherings. Robert loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and was respected by all.

Robert is survived by his daughters Jennifer (Craig) Lee and Christina (Jason) Lenz; his grandchildren Anthony and Nicholas; his sister Marlene (Walter) Annerino.

He is preceded in death by his wife JoAnn (nee Mendez) Garcia; his brother Raymond (late Rosemary) Garcia and by his parents.

Memorial visitation Wednesday December 13, 2023 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Thursday, December 14, 2023 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be Arlington Heights Wheeling Township Cemetery.
