Robert A. Mills

Robert A. Mills, of Arlington Heights, passed away peacefully on October 9th, 2025. He was born in Beckley, West Virginia, to the late Arvel and Gertrude (née Flinchum) Mills. Robert married the love of his life, Hazel, in February 1965, and they celebrated a wonderful 37 years of marriage before her passing in 2002. He was devoted to Christian Ministry and dedicated many years of service before retiring at the Chicago Transit Authority.

He is survived by his loving children: Kevin (Deborah) Mills, Jeff (Jennifer) Mills, Rob (Kim) Mills and Melissa (Buddy) Eubanks; His adoring grandchildren: Amanda (Jordan), Katelyn, Alyssa (Dane), Michael, Ryan (Nicolette), Kyle (Gina), Brittany (Ryan), Megan, Matthew, Brooke, Brandon (Kassy), and Brady; and his beloved great-grandchildren: Faelyn, Jordan, Nolan, Hazel, Lilah, James, Eli, and Alaina. He was a loving brother to Jerry (Norma) Mills, Linda (the late Ronald) Clay, the late Darrell (Patricia) Mills, Steve (Pat) Mills and a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL. Entombment will follow at Mount Emblem Cemetery, 520 E Grand Ave, Elmhurst, IL 60126.
