Roland Gerald Ley

Roland graduated from Saint John's University in Collegeville, MN and then proudly served two years in the Army. He went on to earn an MBA from Northwestern University. He started his career as a CPA and went on to work for Ernst & Young for his entire career.

Roland married Rose Anne “Sandy” (nee Theisen) Ley in 1955. The couple had 6 children, Stephen (Suzanne) Ley, Thomas (Margie) Ley, Katherine (Russ) Larko, Karen Ley, Patricia (Charley) Hoyt, Jonathan (Nancy) Ley. Roland is survived by his three sisters, Cleo Holmin, Lois Lundemo and Rita Kinsella. Roland is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 2 step-great grandchildren.

Visitation Monday, December 5, 2022 at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to JourneyCare Hospice, 2050 Claire Court, Glenview, IL 60025 or St. James Catholic Church.
