Ryan Edward Frye

Ryan E. Frye was born on October 11, 1975 in Effingham to Edward and Sharon (nee Wakefield) Frye. He died Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in Elk Grove Village.

Ryan was known for his quick wit and sense of humor which brought joy to all those he loved. He had a love for motorcycles and was most at peace while riding. His passion for guitar playing started as a teen and continued throughout his life. He was proud of his athletic accomplishments, including the White Squirrel Triathlon July 2011, the St. Louis Marathon October 2011 and the Warrior Dash 2013. Ryan appreciated a good meal and never passed up a piece of pie. Ryan loved to spend time with his family and friends and lived life to its fullest. He will be greatly missed.

Ryan is survived by his spouse of 6 years, Alison (nee Guenther); many aunts, uncles, cousins; in-laws, nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd. (capacity limits, PPE requirement, and social distancing in effect), 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Effingham IL Monday, April 19. 2021 at 2:00 pm.
