Scott was born on July 4, 1977, to Mike Ring and Dawn (Steele) Springer. He graduated from Schaumburg High School with the Class of 1995 and went on to serve in the United States Navy. He later built a successful career as a commodities broker with Alaron. On July 28, 2012, Scott married the love of his life, Heather (Knutsen) Ring. Their marriage was built on deep love, laughter, and unwavering devotion, and he was truly her partner in every sense of the word.
Scott had a lifelong passion for comic books and comic-related action figures, with a special love for Marvel. He found joy in the stories and characters he admired, and his collection reflected his enthusiasm for those world’s he loved so much.
He will be remembered as one of the most loyal and caring people anyone could hope to know. Scott was the kind of person who would drop everything to help his friends, always putting others before himself. His humor and kindness made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
Scott shared a remarkable bond with animals, especially his ferrets. Over 25 years he took care of 10 ferrets and took pride in being the most devoted and attentive pet dad any animal could ask for. Animals both tame and wild seemed to naturally trust him, drawn to his calm and gentle spirit.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother Dawn (Steele) Springer, his grandparents, and his great Aunt Betty.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Ring; his father, Mike Ring; his aunts Patty and Joanne; his uncle Alan; as well as many extended family members including aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends Dave, Tom, Pat, Betty, and Jim.
