Stanley John Bartosiak was born on May 18, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Isabella Bartosiak. He passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in Arlington Heights, where he had lived with his family for the past 48 years.
He served our country in the U.S. Navy in World War II and was stationed aboard a ship in the Pacific.
Stanley worked for 60 years as a machine shop foreman, mostly for Gage Assembly Corporation. He loved going to work and returning home to a good meal and conversation with his wife, Caroline. He enjoyed his family, friends and neighbors. Stanley was a friendly and positive influence on those who knew him. His family is immensely grateful for his long and healthy life.
Stanley is survived by his son Harry (Mary McKernan) Bartosiak; his grandchildren, Jackson, Benjamin and Elizabeth, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Caroline L. (nee Dillard) Bartosiak; and his siblings, Henry (Loretta) Bartosiak, Mitchell (Bernice) Bartosiak, Dorothy (Raymond) Kroll, Regina (Steven) Marsh, and Edward (Jean) Bartosiak.
A memorial mass celebrating Stanley’s life will be held at 10:00 am, on Saturday July 28, 2018, at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Dr., Palatine, Illinois.
