Steven Billings was born on October 20, 1957, in Princeton, West Virginia to Alvin and Ruth (nee Archer) Billings. He died Sunday, September 15, 2019, in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Billings worked as a safety instructor for Aldridge Electric in Libertyville. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. Steve loved Harley’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Playing Bejeweled, Chicago Cubs, and Avid People Watching. He loved to spend time with his family especially his children and granddaughter and was loved by all.

Steven is survived by his spouse Karen (nee Podlin); children, Jackie Billings, Takara Billings and Tyler Billings; granddaughter, Gabby Kovachic; parents, Alvin Billings and Ruth Doell; sisters, Sue (Thomas) Zawacki, and Rebecca (Jerry) Trees; father-in-law, George Podlin sister-in-laws, Diane Billings, TammySue Margalit, Georgette (David) Gunther Sister-In-Law, Colleen (Jeff) Mnichowicz, and Sue (Dan) Meihls; brothers-in-law, Mark (the late Kim) Podlin, and Jeff (Jill) Podlin; many nieces and nephews..

He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Billings; Brother-in-law, Michael Podlin; and mother-in-law, Geraldine Podlin.

Visitation Wednesday, September 18, 2019, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers 9:15 am, Thursday, September 19, 2019, at the funeral home processing to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004 for a 10:00 am Funeral Mass. Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Misericordia Heart of Mercy, 6300 N. Ridge Ave., Chicago, IL, 60660.
