Steven H. Loving

Steve attended Michigan State University and went on to earn his MBA in Finance and Operations from the Wake Forest University School of Business. He spent his summers during college enjoying life out west, working as a ranch hand at the A Bar A Ranch in Wyoming. On July 17, 1993, he married his love, Kathy Kay, with whom he built a strong and devoted family. Together, they spent the years raising their two children, Jon and Kayley, in Arlington Heights, where they were blessed to make many friends who became family.

Steve had a long and successful forty-year career in technology and sales, most recently serving as Director of Business Development at KORE. Outside of work, Steve had a deep love for the outdoors and nature. Some of his favorite trips were elk hunting out west, where he treasured time spent with his brother and son, whether the hunt was successful or not – although the year all three returned home with an elk was a crowning achievement. He also built lifelong friendships, including an annual turkey camp with childhood friends that spanned over 30 years. Steve cherished time spent up north at the family’s home in Grayling, Michigan, where he enjoyed fly fishing on the AuSable River, walking through the woods, and sharing meaningful time with loved ones.

Steve was not a man who desired many material things, but he had an abundance of love for his family. He was, and always will be, fiercely proud of his children. His greatest joy was cherishing time with his children and wholeheartedly supporting them in everything they pursued.

Steve was also a beloved brother-in-law to Elizabeth and John Hoylman, and uncle to many, including Sam Loving, Alex Basse and Katie Basse, Katie and Ryan Behring, and Emily and Jake Johengen. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Muriel Loving, his dear mother and father-in-law Doris and Leonard Kay, and his younger sister, Melissa Loving.
