Susanne Marie Balla (nee Roberts) was born on May 8, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to Martin and Lorayne Roberts. She died Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at her home in Buffalo Grove, surrounded by her family.

Susanne worked at the corporate offices of Walgreens before dedicating her time to raising her children alongside her husband. Her biggest joys were family and friends, Christmas, and a good book. She’ll be remembered for being a thoughtful gift giver, a gracious and warm host, and a loving friend and mother.

Susanne is survived by her spouse of 33 years, Tom; children Stacy and Jason Balla; Mother, Lorayne Roberts; siblings Marti (Ken) Drase, Jackie (Feryl) Waldenmyer, Susan Roberts, and Don (Sue) Roberts; as well as a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her Father, Martin Roberts.

A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, July 1st, 2018 from 12 pm until 3 pm, at the family’s home (494 Estate Drive, Buffalo Grove). There will be an opportunity to share memories at 2 pm. Lunch and refreshments will be served.
