He died on Friday, October 10, 2014 in Arlington Heights.Mr. Ferrara worked for Peoples Gas until his retirement. He coached baseball for 22 years in Park Ridge and Northbrook.Thomas is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Sheila (nee Wurthman) Ferrara; his children, Tim (Jean) Ferrara, Connie (Bill) Moore, Aletha (Jim) Ottlinger, Chris Ferrara, Carrie (Greg) Von Moser, Joe (Suzanne) Ferrara, and Jon Ferrara; his 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Richard and Anthony (Carole) Ferrara.He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Ferrara; and by his parents.Visitation Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Service 11:00 AM at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights.
