Tom Chekel

of Mount Prospect, IL

Tom Chekel, 73, was born September 17, 1950 in Chicago, to Ervin and June (nee Reil) Chekel. He died Thursday, August 29, 2024 at his home in Mount Prospect, Illinois.

Mr. Chekel is a retired product manager in the label industry and has been employed with P4 Security providing services at Arlington Park and Randhurst. Tom was a dedicated volunteer with Lambs Farm, a CERT member in Mt. Prospect, and at the Frisbee Center working Bingo. He was also a standardized patient with Loyola University, Roosevelt University and NBOME.

Tom is survived by his wife, Kathleen Chekel (nee Sheehy); his mother June; his sister Donna (Terry) Cullen, his brother, David Chekel; and his nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at, the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Funeral service 11:00 am Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Glueckert Funeral Home. Interment private.
