I was on the interstate that day behind the accident by about 30 min. Originally I had planned to leave lacrosse thirty min sooner, but made a last min stop. I didn't know till I made it home what had happened. As a mom of five children...I think about your family all the time and can't imagine the loss you must feel. 💔

Dear Greg, Mathew and SofiaYou are in my thoughts and prayers in these times of unimaginable pain you are going through.  Your wife Tracy was such a great loving mother who lived every day of her life giving unconditional love to you and her two beautiful children.  You have such loving caring children and when I met you and your wife I knew that they were like that because you and your wife are very loving caring people.  Please continue to have faith in God and Jesus and Mary who will be by your side always.  Pray for strength as you have two beautiful children that will be there for you always. I had Mathew and Sofia in my Pk-3 class in St. Joseph Academy in Bogota, NJ.  This tragedy has made me so upset and as well as other people that knew Tracy.  I used to see her daily coming to school and she always made sure to take some time to talk to them about their day at school.  She gave them lots of kisses, love and attention. Many, many people here are in utter disbelief that someone so innocent, so loved, and a mother and wife has  been taken from you and children.I pray God's loving arms will hold all of you tight while you journey through this sad time. Although you don't know me, I was absolutely heartbroken and devastated after hearing about this. My eyes filled with tears when I learned Tracy didn't make it. I have been praying for your whole family, and just wanted to send my deepest condolences. May God shower you with comfort, love, and peace during this time.

To Tracys familyI am a resident of Long Grove Il. Although I do not know you personally my heart broke not in half but in pieces when I first heard of this tragedy and then of Tracys passing.  My husband and I are devastated over this senseless tragedy.  Please keep all of your happy times of being with your wife Tracy, your mommie,  sister, daughter close to your hearts and never let them go, for this will keep Tracy alive.   She is in Heaven now safe in God's arms.  Continue to go forward ...for this I am sure Tracy  would want.   Greg stay strong for your children...they need you more than ever.

Tracy was one of my best friends in high school. She was fearless and crazy cool with a unique vibe that was way beyond her years.  I was so proud of her achievements in life. Most of all proud of the family she so clearly adored. To find such love and happiness in this life is rare and although I am deeply saddened at her life being taken in such a manner I know she treasured every day. You don't have to talk to someone you love everyday or every year even to know their lives are complete. The beauty emanating from her pictures told me everything I needed to know. That she was blessed and loved. My prayers for the family are that her life be celebrated and not let anger at how she departed this world to overshadow the joy that she brought to everyone she knew. I love you sister. Rest easy and I know you will be watching and guiding those precious children all of their days. Greg we don't know each other but you are in my deepest prayers as I know she is irreplaceable. Crissy I love you too and my heart breaks for you. God bless and keep you all.

I'm not a personal friend of Tracy's but, someone very dear to me is.. I'm in shock that this could happen  to such a beautiful person. She lit up the room with her smile and seemed to care deeply for others. My deepest sympathies to all of you who lost such a great mother wife and friend.

I heard the ambulance call to the Interstate for the shooting.  I then made my way up to the hospital to assist our Officer that was already there. The hospital was on lock down due to the circumstances.  I entered the ER and saw your room. It was busy. I had never seen that many hospital employees in the ER at once.  I then learned of your Blue Line connection and immediately stayed near.  I then met your husband as he had arrived at the ER. He asked everyone in the ER room to pray for you and your two children. I then sat with him during his short time in the ER room with you until your helicopter was ready. Your husband got a ride to the UW to meet you. I along with 2 other officers walked next to you as they wheeled you to the helicopter. We made sure we would stay near and make it a safe passage.  From that moment of lift off prayers were again sent for you and your family. God Bless.

To Greg and your little ones.  You are in our thoughts and prayers.  Words cannot express the wishes I have for your family.  I just know that the time we live without our loved ones here on earth..is going to be much less than the eternity we will spend with them in heaven.  Wrap yourself in memories made as a family and see Tracy everyday in the faces of your beautiful children.  She is watching over you.
