Valerie Jean Salerno

Valerie Jean Salerno of Las Vegas, NV formerly of Barrington, IL died August 14, 2024. Preceded in death by her father, Vincent Salerno. She is survived by her mother, Diane; brothers, Brian (Maureen and their children Anthony, Maria and Matthew); Michael (Kathryn and their children Vincent and Mia); and Mark. She graduated from Barrington High School, Colgate University and Albany Law School. Her law career began in New York, then New Jersey, and continued in Las Vegas. Her area of practice was Contracts and Negotiations. She was a member of St. Viator Church in Las Vegas and a former member of the Catholic Daughters.

A visitation for Valerie will be held Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 East Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. A funeral mass will occur Monday, September 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church, 820 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. A committal service will occur Monday, September 23, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at St Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1185 W Algonquin Rd, Palatine, IL 60067.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Valerie's memory to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
