

Vincent E. Maranto Of Arlington HeightsVincent E. Maranto was born on January 30,1931 in Chicago to Giuseppe and Concetta (nee Collara) Maranto. He died Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at his residence with family by his side.Vince was a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked as an automotive painter for Colonial Chevrolet in Schaumburg, and also was a member of Local 701 for over 50 years. Vince was a member of Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. He was an avid antique collector, hunter, fisherman and was a war movie "Buff". Vince loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchild, and was loved by all. Vincent is survived by his spouse of 59 years, Genevieve "Jean" (nee Geraci), children, Vincent J. Maranto, Concetta (Curt) Bluemke, and Anthony Maranto; grandchildren, Jonathan Bluemke, Nicole Bluemke, Michael Bluemke, Anton Maranto; and great-grandson, Rylan Bluemke; brother, Salvatore "Sam" Maranto; and sister, Eleanor Speros; many nieces and nephews; dear brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Mary Lokay and Joseph London Maranto.Visitation Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers 10:15 am Monday, July 6, 2015 at the funeral home proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 for a 11:00 am Funeral Mass.
