Virginia "Ginny" Marie Carey was born December 13, 1925 in Chicago to Thomas J. and Josephine L. (nee Foley) Carey. She died April 23, 2015 at Resurrection Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Park Ridge.Ginny was a member of the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, (BVM"s) for 25 years. Her interest in educating young children later inspired her to continue teaching during the next 15 years in several Catholic schools within the Chicagoland area.Virginia is survived by her long-time companion, Richard L. Ferguson, her siblings Marjorie Carey, Dorothy (late Jack) Calhoun, Marilyn (Jack) Smith and Jim Carey and by numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her brothers Thomas Carey, John Carey and the late Michael Carey.Visitation Thursday, April 30, 2015 at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
