Wanita Born

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - Wanita ("Nita") B. Born died April 10, 2023 at the age of 90. A homemaker with 4 children, a Nursery School Owner together with her husband, and an office administrator were just some of the work experiences she had during her years before retirement. She was born in Martin County, IN on December 8, 1932 to the late Lillian Celia (Stamm) Braun and the late Edward Conrad Braun.

Dear wife of the late Franklin W. Born, Jr., she was the beloved mother of Patricia Baranowski, Pamela (Jeffrey) Bakalar, David (Debi) Born, and Janine (John) Talbot; cherished sister of Sue Warner, her husband Mike, dear sister of Larry J. Braun, his wife Jill; brother-in-law of Donald C. Born. She was also a loving grandmother to Amy (Aschoff) McVay, Lindsay (Bakalar) Hugo, Ryan Bakalar and Hollyn (Holsinger) Thurlby; proud great-grandmother of Charlotte Hugo, Thomas Hugo, Kamden Dauparas, Hailey DiVincenzo, Winslow Thurlby, and Bennett Thurlby, and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

We will miss our precious Nita very much but are happy she is now reunited with her loved ones in Heaven.

Private visitation was held at Glueckert Funeral Home in Arlington Heights, IL. She was buried with her husband, Frank, a Korean War Veteran, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
