William Robert Lee

It is with heavy hearts that we mournfully announce the passing of Mr. William Robert Lee, son of William and Ethel Lee, who departed this life on February 2, 2026. Born on July 19, 1946, he lived a rich and full life, touching many with his kindness and warmth.

Remembered as a devoted father and husband, William leaves behind a large family who continue to treasure the love and wisdom he provided throughout the years. William is survived by his wife, Farzideh Lee; sons, David Lee and Tom Bayro; daughters, Patti McKibben, Julie Kalis, Michelle Lee, Gina Montgomery and Mitra Salehzadeh; siblings, Kathi, Randy, Dorothy, John and Maureen; several nieces and nephews; 19 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren with one on the way.

William was predeceased by his parents, William and Ethel Lee; former wife, Maryann Lee; sister Ellen Boyette; his dearly beloved daughter, Rachel Lee; and son, Sean Salehzadeh.

Enriched by the joys of family, he was also a man of many personal passions. Among his favorite recreational activities were trips to the casino, where he enjoyed the thrill of the game and being surrounded by good company. William served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was awarded commendation medals for his service and valor. These experiences, in part, defined the vibrant and dynamic spirit that was William.

Today, we not only mourn his passing, but also celebrate his life - a life characterized by deep affection for his family, generosity, and an abiding zest for life's simple pleasures. William was a meat and potatoes man, with a love for black licorice and little projects around the house

His legacy will continue to live on through the stories shared and the memories treasured by his loved ones. He will be sorely missed, yet fondly remembered for his kindness and the sincere love he had for those around him.

Family will be receiving guests on February 5, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Lauterburg-Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E Northwest Hwy, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. A funeral service will take place on February 6, 2026 at 12:00 PM (Noon) also at Lauterburg-Oehler. Interment to immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2501 E Euclid Ave, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
